I think the problem comes from certain empty insets. In my screenshot,
the "trigger3" inset is empty.

To reproduce more easily, open the Beamer example and go to:
Edit > Custom Text Styles > Alert.

That is enough to trigger the crash for me. Does it trigger it for you?
