Looks like problem of xpdf viewer, not related to lyx.

Unless you run some modified version and this appears as
a generic error when running xpdf some_pdf_file.pdf in
the console, this should be probably reported to debian
because the problem is in /etc/ (you did not edit that
file, right?).
