Thanks for your contribution, added to master (2.6.x). Might be
backported (in a more limited version) to stable if Riki agrees.

Note that my proposal for float options turned out to be not good since
the options (except for width) are reset at float begin.

I have now implemented proper support for such options in master (this
cannot be backported).
