The only comment I have on these patches is that for the changes that
react to a package/LaTeX change, we should condition on the version (we
have Features::isVavailableAtLeastFrom() where we can check for
specific package/LaTeX versions spoecified in chkconfig.ltx).

We do not want to urge our users to upgrade to the newest LaTeX/package
version, and some do run distros with conservative packaging. And we do
not want LyX to produce wrong output for those users.

Other than that, these are areas you know best, anyway.
