For what it's worth, I did run 'sudo apt-get build-dep lyx' before installing and it did /not/ install the libxkbcommon-x11-dev library. (Is 'apt-get' rather than 'apt' a problem?) After getting your message, I installed it and reran 'make' (which did not seem to find any work to do). I then ran 'make check', and apparently one test failed (tests/test_Length). Per the instructions in the terminal, I have attached the gzipped test-suite.log file. I ignored the failure and finished the installation anyway. LyX 2.5.2 seems to be working fine. I appreciate the help (and all the work you devs do on LyX). Paul -- lyx-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.lyx.org/mailman/listinfo/lyx-devel
