It's the viewer problem - maybe you have leftover /etc/xpdf/xpdfrc > from previous installs? I would try to purge xpdf, remove /etc/xpdf/xpdfrc and install it again. > If that does not help, it should be reported to the distribution. I removed xpdf completely and reinstalled, same messages. But I have the same behaviour with master and the pdf file iopens, so I checked the LyX error I get with 2.5.2 and (which prevents opening of the pdf file) and I see : ! Package pdftex.def Error: File `7_usr_local_share_lyx-2_5_2_images_undo.pdf' not found: using draft setting. ! Package pdftex.def Error: File `7_usr_local_share_lyx-2_5_2_images_redo.pdf' not found: using draft setting. each twice. These are not present with master.
