I'd like to add to that if there is anything being done with the graphic
dialogue.  There are two scale factors, the one for the display of the graphic
in the GUI and the one for latex typography.  Can they have a tickbox to request
that the two values are synchronised?  If ticked, adjusting one would adjust the
other to the same value.  The tick could be remembered along with the other
settings mentioned by Stef.
