RE: lyx may be very slowly responding

This sounds like something I reported way back in v2.5.0 which I suggested could be some memory leakage: I experienced that the longer I used LyX, the slower it became. Especially with many equations. But perhaps my diagnosis was wrong.

Yes, the way that I am running lyx is similar.
But, usually the lack of response is improved when I restart the machine.
I observed the same behavior on 2 machines with 24 or 32 Gbit of RAM.
I excluded a swapping issue from the OS.


Using Fedora Linux 44 myself.
I've been noticing similar problems for some time already.

In my case, when I edit large documents (containing lots of math formulas),
with several tabs opened, after some time math editing and parsing starts to
lag behind the typing.

That happens even in my laptop, which is basically shutdown/turned on every
day and does not usually stays running for several days/weeks.
