Hello all, I'd like your opinion on a couple of possible new features for nano. All of them have working patches lying around on Savannah or on the mailing list, so if you wish, you can try the features out. Here goes: a) Delete a word leftward / delete a word rightward. b) Spell check from the current cursor position instead of the whole file. c) Find next occurrence backward / find next occurrence forward. (So you don't have to toggle the search direction with ^W M-B first.) d) Save the current file without any prompting (if it has a name). e) An option to consider underscores to be part of a word. f) An option to save a file by default in Unix format. The first four would be added as bindable functions without having any binding by default. Users who do not read the nanorc man page nor the ^G help text would not become aware of the existence of these functions. The relevant bugs or messages that contain the patch: a) https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?32803 b) https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?44352 c) https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/nano-devel/2015-04/msg00033.html d) https://savannah.gnu.org/patch/?8208 e) https://savannah.gnu.org/patch/?8691 f) https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/nano-devel/2015-03/msg00082.html What do you think?
