del/backspace confusion

Hello,
I just did a new Debian (etch) installation and my nano editor has a confusion 
of the backspace and delete key (delete works like backspace). I've looked at 
the config file and commented out an appropiate option but it's still there:

osiris:/# grep -v "^#" /etc/nanorc | grep -v "^$"
set historylog
set rebinddelete
set suspend

Any other option to set?
