Yeah, Xy has been talking to me about this patch, I said go for it as far as submitting this upstream.

[Also, offtopic but probably worth mentioning: apparently the mox mail server is intermittently VERY vigilant about what it thinks is spam from GNU mailing lists due to some perceived dmarc issues. To the point where the earlier mails in this thread were binned, along with who knows how many other mails.

Just a head's up to any FOSS folks administering mox for email, you will really need to monkey with the domains.conf to make exceptions for lists.gnu.org (etc) for your users to actually get mailing list messages reliably.]
