Hi all, With nano wanting to be a simple editor, easy to use and easy to understand, wouldn't it make sense that, when the current line is wider than the screen (and we're not softwrapping) and the cursor is about to go offscreen to the right, that then *all* screen lines gently scroll to the left together? It seems to me the most logical, the least surprising, the least disorienting, and thus the most suitable for an easy-to-use editor. So... should smooth whole-window sideways scrolling become the new default? What do you think? Benno
