But it's same for 'DOS format', and `format` is really a DOS command.

Besides if I look for 'Unix format' in three search engines, then 90% of the results are about Unix 
timestamp. So it's nothing better. (Interestingly none mentions `mkfs`.)

`man git config` says 'line ending type' and CRLF or LF. xed has 'Line Endining:' in its save dialog. 
vscode says 'end of line' in its preferences. So '{Unix,DOS,Mac} line ending' should more technically 
correct than '{Unix,DOS,Mac} format'.

Thank you. However I don't understand the origin of your unfounded hatred of Windows. There's just the 
complexity of software; there's no good or bad.
