Hello, I am trying to get the Nano version 2.7.5 on my Ubuntu 16.10 computer. Because I could not find a package I tried to compile it myself. But if I run ./configure --enable-utf8 I get the following error Message: configure: error: *** UTF-8 support was requested, but insufficient UTF-8 support was *** detected in your curses and/or C libraries. Please verify that your *** slang was built with UTF-8 support or your curses was built with *** wide character support, and that your C library was built with wide *** character support. Well, I have installed libncurses5-dev and libslang2-dev but I don't know how to check for wide character support / UTF-8 support. Can someone please help? Regards Leonhard
