Nano is perfect for distraction-free writing for prose, poetry or other
types of writing. Simply press ALT+x to hide or reveal the Help Menu and
ALT+D to show number of words. If writing new words to a long document,
select the number of additional words using SHIFT+arrow keys or Ctrl+^ to
mark followed by ALT+D. This provides the word count for additional words
added.
