Nedit and Leopard

Hello,


I'm not quite sure if this is the correct list to address my question. So please give me an advice 
if it would be better to use another list.

My question: I installed nedit on my Apple MacBook (OS X.5.6) via MacPorts 1.7. It installed fine 
but produces a Bus Error after starting. I have no problems using nedit on a Mac mini (OS X.4.11).

I couldn't find a solution for my problem in Google. Do you have any?
