HI all, I've just upgraded my system to Slackware 12.2 and now, nedit doesn't refresh the display properly : when scrolling up, it simply fill its window with a couple of random lines from the file. Selecting all forces refreshing; however that makes nedit close to unusable. I've tried compiling nedit myself; it's slightly better in a way (it refreshes correctly) but worse in some other way (I have to clear all my .Xresources customization or nedit crashes instantly). Furthermore, I'd need to compile and install openmotif because the lesstif on my system isn't supported but I postponed this, because I have no other significant motif application which isn't lesstif compatible. I think the nedit 5.5 official linux binary is well due a refresh or perhaps a new version to run on latest x.org, isn't it? -- L'Algérie était au bord du gouffre, aujourd'hui elle a fait un grand pas en avant.
