Maximum number of Subpatterns?

Hey Everyone,

I did not think there was a limit to the number of sub-patterns that a 
language mode could have. However, I have been adding a number of sub 
patterns --- twelve to be exact --- and for some reason, it won't let me 
add more than that. I can add the pattern I want to add as a regular 
pattern just fine, but for some reason it just doesn't get added when I try 
to do it as a sub-pattern.

It does not give me an error; instead, it just doesn't do anything when I 
click any button that should add the pattern. For example, I get no answer 
when I click the "Check" button, "Apply" does not update the patterns and 
the effects are not visible. Clicking "OK" does not result in the window 
closing, and instead, I have to hit "Close", whereupon the pattern will be 
lost or reverted to a non-sub-pattern status like I had it.

Does anyone know what is going on here?
