Sorry, I don't mean to imply that I have had insurmountable problems
with 2.3 at all. Rather, I just meant to indicate that in my experience,
not only my experience with NEdit, is that OpenMotif 2.1.30 and family
have treated me better on the whole, for a variety of reasons.

Running NEdit on 2.3 OpenMotif is going to be much better than running
it with LessTif, I would wager, but I was curious to see whether the OP
had the troubles on 2.3 as well as 2.1.30+, or if these problems were
related solely to 2.2 and LessTif, which are definitely *not* good to
use.

Most of my complaints against 2.3 stem from using OpenMotif as a
programmer, not so much as using it in deployment with programs like
NEdit.
