This information is saved in your nedit resource file. If you have made no
changes to the language mode settings, there are default values built into the
executable. Typically the file will either be $HOME/.nedit for older versions,
or $HOME/.nedit/nedit.rc for newer ones (at least on unix-like systems). Try
the menu Preferences->Save Defaults... - this displays a confirmation dialog
to update the file, saying exactly where it is.
