The solution that I found some time ago (I am not using nedit much, so
don't know how it works now):

Better still: configure klipper to ignore actions of nedit.

In klipper -> Configure -> Actions -> Advanced -> Disabled Actions for
Windows of Type WM_CLASS : nedit
