[poedit-users] xgettext or poedit

I am preparing for a Meetup on Poedit and writing of a blog post.

And i have one issue not resolved.

Listed as a feature on poedit.net:

You can use Poedit to scan source code for translatable strings.

I am not able to include the comments about translatable strings

like: /* translators: use the verb publish here */

If i want this included in poedit catalogs, do i have to use xgettext?
