Ok, here's more information: I'm trying to translate PHP files from Finnish to English. I created .\locale\en\LC_MESSAGES\messages.po with poEdit. All files are in .\public_html\. Most of the files are in UTF-8 format, but some are not. This might be the problem, but it's pretty hard to find the correct file because of no debug information about filename poEdit/xgettext is currently processing. All I get is information about time when it occured. The error occurs when I press "Update catalog - synchronize it with sources" button. I can see by flash that it says something like "Scanning PHP files". (BTW: can I somehow only scan PHP files?) messages.po only contains only this: --snip-- msgid "" msgstr "" "Project-Id-Version: Test\n" "POT-Creation-Date: \n" "PO-Revision-Date: 2005-05-30 23:50+0200\n" "Last-Translator: Pekka Järvinen <foo@bar>\n" "Language-Team: PJ <foo@bar>\n" "MIME-Version: 1.0\n" "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8\n" "Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit\n" "X-Poedit-Language: English\n" "X-Poedit-Country: FINLAND\n" "X-Poedit-SourceCharset: utf-8\n" "X-Poedit-Basepath: .\\..\\..\\..\\\n" "X-Poedit-SearchPath-0: public_html\n" --/snip-- Other info: I'm using Subversion http://subversion.tigris.org/ It creates hidden .svn directories, filename.php.svn-base and filename.php.svn-work files. I guess this is not the problem. >Sorry, but it's not clear what is the above meant to represent... >Single dialog? More dialogs? By what applications? Yes, single dialog. I guess xgettext.exe is generating it when poEdit is calling it or something like that. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by Yahoo.
