Hi Vaclav,
since I use poEdit daily to translate all the documentation and UI of
TortoiseSVN and parts of Subversion into German, I'm missing this
feature a lot. Especially when only a typo was fixed in the original,
it's often hard to spot this small change in poEdit.
Most of the time I pop up a diff tool next to poEdit, but since the
formatting of the raw .po file is different from the display in poEdit,
this helps only a little.
I imagine the following. Each time I update my po File from sources or
from a .pot file, a backup is created and the bottom windows are used to
display the (color highlighted) diff, original msgid and msgstr on the
left and current msgid and msgstr on the right.
If found two tools:
- http://www.uddeborg.se/sv/podiff
that do roughly what I'd like to see. Especially the first tool displays
a nice line by line diff. Could this serve as an inspiration?
Now the "only" thing to be added would be an in-line diff that allows
spotting things like "copy bolck" -> "copy block".
Cheers
- Lübbe
