Hello, poEdit users list!
I'm a GNOME translator, and I use poEdit for most of my translations.
I'm building some kind of extension to gnome-glossary [1] to improve
uniformity in translations and make them easier, but I need some
advice on how long should be the vocabulary strings to maximize the
number of automatically translated strings.
Most of the time the vocabulary won't have an exact match to the
expression being automatically translated. I'm writing a shell script
to make a list of most frequent words, but a list of expressions like
"free software" and "MIME type" is harder to get. If I had a list of
two- or three-words expressions (in oposition to a single word list),
would it make a difference on the number of automatically translated
strings in a catalog?
And I'd like to know if it helps to add plurals ("icon", "icons") and
different cases ("Icon", "icon").
Thank you!
