Hojin, I have a similar situation with Quechua translators. We need to work with 3 languages at once: English->Spanish->Quechua. Because most Quechua translators can't read English, I had to write a PHP script that searches through the Spanish PO files and copies the Spanish phrases into the Quechua PO files as comments. That way Quechua translators, can look in the comments field and find the Spanish translation. The script also has the option to paste translations into the msgstr field when it is empty, because many phrases can't be translated into Quechua and are better in Spanish. My script should work with any language, so you should be able to use it as well. To use it, you need to have PHP5 installed to work on the command line. Would you like me to email the script to you? All the error messages are in Spanish right now, but I can translate the help file into English if you want to use it. take care, Amos Batto Quoting Vaclav Slavik <[email protected]>: > Hi, > , > Hojin Choi wrote: >> How about one more po file opening for read-only mode? > > I don't see any reason for doing that: > 1) that's what the translation memory is for > 2) nothing prevents you from opening two instances of poedit and > putting the side by side on the screen > > Vaclav > > -- > PGP key: 0x465264C9, available from http://pgp.mit.edu/ > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
