It (almost) certainly doesn't, but it's better to have it working on 
Unix  than not at all and win32 mechanism can be added later...

Why not e.g. 
  documancer-remote --book="Python" --search="thread and lock"
? Saves parsing... And there may be other remote commands other than 
search that take book argument.

The books are internally identified by their name, so this is not a 
problem. The ID is identical to the (human-readable) title of the 
book.
