[poedit-users] keep obsolete strings when updating from pot file

Hi there

I have a po file that contains some translations. Now I have a pot file
with new strings to translate. I would like to merge those two files so
that at the end I have a po file with all strings, some already
translated and some not.

The problem is that the po file contains some strings that are not in
the new pot file so when using poedits 'update from POT file' these
strings are marked as obsolete and are removed. Is there a way to keep
these obsolete strings?

I use poedit 1.3.7 on Windows XP.

Thanks for any tips.

Claudia
