You plan to add TM import and export? WOW! That is just great news!

I have Tados 6.5 and it has following capabilities:
- import and export as text file, intended to be used only with Trados,  
but can be used elsewhere
- import and export in TMX formats 1.1 and 1.4

My colleague has Trados 7.0.xxx (not 7.5), and it has additional options:
Export:
- as text file, intended to be used only with Trados 7.x
- as text file, intended to be used only with Trados 2.x-6.x (used when  
you have TM in Trados 7.x format and you want to export TM so a user with  
older Trados could import it)(Uprades of Trados to newer version costs  
almost as buying a new one :S )
- TMX 1.4b

Import:
- same as for export
- IBM TM/2 *.exp
- Systran *.rtf
- Logos *.sgm

Data avilable in those exports depend on how the TM was set up during its  
creation. This cannot be changed later on. Such data are: creator,  
project, usage, date...
During export/import you can choose which of those (that are availabe) you  
can include in export/import. Logicaly, you cannot export data that was  
not set up during TM creation, and you cannot import such data if there  
are no such "placeholders" in your TM. Trados has many drawbacks and  
limitations, but as I work mostly with html and Word doc/rtf, for those it  
is the best choice. (Hence my examples of Trados shortcuts ;) )

I'm sending you a small sample of Trados TM, together with exports  
available to me in 6.5. There is also a small doc as example of how Trados  
is in fact "cheating" - if not visible at first, make sure you can see the  
hidden text.

Now, it was a long time ago since the last occasion when I  
imported/exported between DejaVuX and Trados, so I'll have to check it  
again and will give you more details if you are interested. Only thing  
that I remember, is that it was a bit complicated and indirect approach,  
with some lengthy going around, and that it works only in one way :S

If it helps, for some manipulations with TM's I use Enlaso tools, which  
are free. There are four main tools and they come under funny and  
un-discriptive names, but heare are the descriptions and dl links:

Also, if you need an example file for po-xliff combination, you will have  
to give me few days to set up those properly. I don't have much need for  
those filetypes.
