If you do see it, please have a look at what processes are running 
when it is hung (I don't know Vista UI, but they are visible in task 
manager after Ctrl-Alt-Del and switching to process [not applications 
only!] tab) and look for msgfmt.exe -- is it there and what is its 
CPU use?

If you were able to reproduce it reliably, it would be interesting to 
know if overwriting 1.4.1's gettext tools (msg*.exe and lib*.dll 
files) with 1.3.9 (or older) versions helps. I upgraded gettext tools 
to latest version and built it with multi-core support, there may be 
some bug in there.
