No, it does not. I always use Poedit with default language interface,
which results in Romanian language selection, but it does the same with
explicit interface language selection.

But, hmm ... from the bug ticket I understand that Poedit is build with
wxWidgets. The VLC media player was bult using wxWidgets until
recently, when they have switched to Qt. One of the main reason:
various Unicode issues ...
(just a simple comment)
