Actually, this happens when loading the document, not when saving it.
When pollo loads a file, it strips all text-nodes containing only
whitespace. This is because otherwise all whitespace that is used for
indenting would also be shown in pollo, causing a lot of white boxes to
be shown in the tree view.

This makes pollo indeed somewhat unsuited for editing XSLT files.

We should probably make this behaviour configurable, preferably based on
element names (e.g. whitespace inside an xsl:text element is
significant, but whitespace inside an xsl:stylesheet element is not).
