Advice sought on enhancing Pollo

Hi,

I'm using Pollo to add XML editing capability to an application that I'm
building. My compliments to the Pollo author(s). It's a very well done
product.

I have made some small modifications to allow me to extend Pollo and
embed it in my application, and would like to submit them to the authors
to consider them for inclusion in the Pollo product. 

Also, I want to add the capability for Pollo to display line numbers and
graphical icons in the margin in the text display editor, as one would
see in a debugger. If one of the developers could provide some guidance
on what would be the best approach to implement this within Pollo, I
would appreciate it. Also, I would be happy to donate the updates that I
make back to the project.

btw, is the Pollo project still active?
