Thanks John. This is encouraging me to brush off the source code and take a look. I think, from memory, it might even relate to changes in the wx.Python toolkit, which means changes in the wxWidgets underlying C++ toolkit. I think some of the events omitted by the tree control may have changed. And even possibly some of the object methods. I can send you the source code if you like, just to take a look. But if you wanted to actually see if you can get it to agree with NVDA again, you would need to install and know how to use the screen reader. Not really very hard, but likely to be a bit frustrating and more than a bit annoying for a sighted programmer. I have found the chattering of a screen reader, while it is something I cannot do without, to really annoy sighted folks very quickly. Especially when I have the speed cranked right up. NVDA is free and Open Source, written in Python, of course. The Web site is: https://nvaccess.org An absolutely brilliant piece of kit written by blind Australian guys.
