I ran into a similar problem trying to append to user.shortcuts. If I add user.shortcuts=$(user.shortcuts)\ Ctrl+Q|IDM_QUIT|\ Ctrl+K|IDM_BLOCK_COMMENT| to mu User Options I get the correct action on Ctrl=Q and Ctrl+K but I loose Ctrl+PageUp and Ctrl+PageDown that were set in SciTEGlobal.properties.
