In the meanwhile I found a solution:
sed -n "/^%_regex%/I=" "%_FILE%"^|sed "2~1d"
1. number lines matching the regex
2. at line 2 delete lines - stepping 1
The 2nd command also suits for my 2nd question.
Anyway, yours is much cleaner - I forgot about the curling brackets and
the q-uit command.
Alexey, not using the hold space seems to be preferable if possible.
Will try your compiled version for win.
