I mean constructing a small example that does not work for you. Perhaps 
it will be enough to post a "my-init-texmacs" that contains only the 
"kbd-map"s that you need and a document that uses them; so that someone 
else can try and reproduce the malfunctioning you observe. Besides, 
sometimes when preparing and testing these "small examples" one gets 
hints on what does not work.
