I answered a few comments. The post merits commenting (in favour of 
TeXmacs, naturally): people need explanations to see the point, because 
IMO one might need some explanations to realize that TeXmacs is a 
software worth trying. One might believe it is

- experimental

- a variation of pieces of software one has already seen

while it is

- established

- with an own identity
