I believe you need to add the characters that make ligatures in `guiligatur=
es` (e.g. `set guiligatures=3D>=3D`). It seems that GVim on Windows if usin=
g DirectX to render always renders ligatures, even if the ligature characte=
r is not specified in `guiligatures`
