Well FWIW, I found the comment actually useful. Otherwise it wouldn't be so obvious why restoring the mouse did not work when sending a kill signal.

Have a look at the code size of a project of this size. Nobody knows all the code by heart and how parts of it interact with each other.  So the statement about a competent contributor is simply not true. 

But hey, that's the kind of feedback I really enjoy from people when we fix their issues. Pah, whatever.
