It is remarkable that you can conclude I "decided to not take the time to
understand" from a change of two lines of code and two lines of comments.

For the record, I submitted this Pull Request after reviewing, understanding
and confirming the final code myself. I determined that those two lines of
comments were indeed necessary.

The initial fix generated by the AI was different and slightly off; I pointed
out the problem and had it corrected. That is not "letting some unethical
machinery do it".

Without the "Co-Authored-By: Claude" line, nothing in this change would have
told you that AI support was involved.

I am not an "AI fanatic". I am simply trying to make smart use of useful tools.
