Then it badly broken.  Use /any/ decent e-mail client, e.g.:

   Pegasus Mail: https://www.pmail.com/
   aerc        : https://aerc-mail.org/
   Sylpheed    : https://sylpheed.sraoss.jp/en/
   mutt        : http://www.mutt.org/

Perhaps other readers will be able to recommend more good
ones.
