SND-MSG

I am running RDi v9.8.0.1

I was trying to use the SND-MSG opcode as follows
snd-msg *status myMessage %target(*ext);

However, the syntax checker does not like *STATUS.  Error: RNF0604 (20)The token is not valid; token is ignored.
In fact, it doesn't like most of the valid values.

The program compiles and functions as expected.

Is there an easy way to update this?
