Hi Daniel,

It wouldn't use the STRRSESRV command but would require the communication mechanisms to do so. Most IT shops shut down the Server Callbacks.

We don't always need a lot of votes. Especially for local file associations. I see that as a base requirement for the server side push.

As for Code Assistant for i, I have confidence in the RDi/IDz/Eclipse community.

Hi Steve,

OK - that sounds good. It from what I have heard, the Code Assistant for I will not be ported to RDi - or is this decision reversed again?

STRRSESRV would really be a bummer - as it blocks a green screen session. But any other mechanism would be an advantage.

And yes - the idea hasn't much votes - that's why I wrote, that I don't have any hope for it.

Right now, it's also not possible with VSCode - only local files can be opened from the command line, but no IBM i members.

I liked the mechanism of CODE400 / LPEX back in the days - two simple commands CODEBRWS and CODEEDIT - and the active LPEX opened the member, that you "sent" to it.

Kind regards,
Daniel
