This is just idle curiosity, Michael. (I am not a COBOL programmer.)

In what way(s) is RDi 9.8 a retrograde step from 9.6?

Has functionality been removed?

Have you considered letting the folks at Fortra/IBM know about your 
experience?

(As I said above, this is just me being curious.)
