When I check for updates, the dialog shows: An update is available. Current Version 1.1.9.8 Available Version 1.1.9.9 Jon Paris [email protected] > On Oct 28, 2025, at 12:13 PM, Mike Hockings <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hey Jon, > > With 9.8.0.6 on Mac the Help>About for ACS shows: > > IBM i Access Client Solutions > (64-bit) > Version: 1.1.9.5 > Build id: 4152 > 2024-04-08 16:15:48 > /Applications/IBM Rational Developer for i.app/Contents/Eclipse/rdi/acs/acsbundle.jar > > What ACS are you seeing get started? It stopped working. Later when I have some time I'll dig out the thread details as it was all discussed at length here. I never did get it to work and never could get any meaningfule error messages. But - one of the suggestions I received was to try launching it from within RDi - and I have been doing that ever since becuase I haven't the time or patience to keep messing around with Java problems. > > Yesyerday I launched it the same way and it announced that an update was available - there is no added functionality that I need as far as I know - I was just looking to keep everything up-to-date. > > > Jon Paris > [email protected] > > > >> On Oct 28, 2025, at 7:52 AM, Mike Hockings <[email protected]> wrote: >> >> Hey Jon, >> >> It should be updated to the version that was available when the fix pack was released. Note that if you have run an external version then it will get run instead when launching from RDI regardless of which is newer. To switch back to the internal one shipped with RDI then open a command prompt and run the internal version using the RDI java. >> >> Once you are running the internal version then you could replace the ACS jar in the RDI image if you like with your preferred ACS version. >> >> Mike >> >> >> --- >> >> Mike Hockings, M.Eng. >> >> IBM Rational Developer for System z and Power Systems Software Technical Support >> >> IBM Canada Ltd.
