RDI 9.8 locked out?

Client wanted to know some details on past project.  Tried to access the project folder in rdi, but rdi kept insisting that I need to sign into system to proceed. I went back door and found the source in in windows folder and gave client answer.  I closed rdi while still in the project view, not rse.
Now I try to start rdi and get signon box to system in project I left open.  Can not get past signon to get to rdi to work on other clients.
Guess I could get client to grant me temp vpn access so I can get into rdi, then exit the projects view, but there has to be a better way.
Any suggestions?
