I am using libutf (http://www.westley.demon.co.uk/software.html) and a
collection of text tools that are modified to use it. Unfortunately I
seem to have lost the source for those. A search for utftools turns up
http://wwwtios.cs.utwente.nl/archive/wilyfans/msg01708.html :-) but I
can't reach http://www.pobox.com/~amw/software/utftools-1.5.tar.gz .
