Summary: Phantom element at end of document

Initial Comment:
Sometimes a new element appears at the end of a 
XML document in the editor. This makes the XML in 
the document not well-formed.

Work around:
Remove the element at the end of the document.

This bug was was caused by only having an '>' end 
bracket at a line. This was processed the same as typing 
an end-bracket.
