Sorry but the "Search" menu entries documented here http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/help/searchMenu.html notably Cmd+F="Search" (always downwards) and Cmd+Shift+F="Search Backwards" (always upwards), are deemed to be consistent and sufficient and will not be changed any time soon. > > By comparison, activating the Find field of the Find & Replace element > tool, does not change the search direction. Sorry but no, this is not the case. I cannot reproduce (at least on my Linux box) what would have been a bug of "Find and Replace Element". As you can see it here, http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/help/searchReplaceElementMenu.html the "Find and Replace Element" menu entries are consistent with the "Search" menu entries. > > That activating Find (via shortcut or menu) causes the search direction > to be defaulted, is simple to work around, but not very intuitive (even > if I guess it can also, for some, be a practical thing). > -- XMLmind XML Editor Support List [email protected] http://www.xmlmind.com/mailman/listinfo/xmleditor-support
